Order Formulae

Pattern:

Stagnation of Qi.

Action:

Pacify the Liver, move Qi, eliminate stagnation, nourish Liver-Blood.

Tongue: Normal-coloured or slightly red on the sides. It may also be pale, if there is pronounced Liver-Blood deficiency. The tongue body may be pale on the whole, but slightly red on the sides.
Pulse: Wiry on the left and weak or choppy on the right.
The pulse may also be choppy on the whole and only very slightly wiry, if Liver-Blood deficiency is pronounced.
