“In my clinical experience, Giovanni’s Jade Screen is one of my favourite formulas for seasonal allergy presentations. I often combine acupuncture with Jade Screen when seasonal allergies are the main complaint. If they are a secondary complaint, I may use acupuncture for the main presentation while incorporating Jade Screen alongside it.

L.I.-4 Hegu, LU-7 Lieque, L.I.-20 Yingxiang, Bitong (extra point), T.B.-5 Waiguan, G.B.-20 Fengchi, with reducing method.
BL-12 Fengmen with cupping.
Explanation
Jade Screen® is a formula specifically designed to address expelling Wind and restoring the diffusion of Lung-Qi. In addition to herbs which expel Wind and target the nose, there are three herbs which are included for their anti-allergy effect: Dan Shen, Wu Wei Zi and Wu Mei.
A deficiency of the Kidneys is often at the root of atopy. The formula is aimed primarily at addressing the Manifestation (i.e. Wind in the nose) rather than the Root. To address the Manifestation and the Root simultaneously, the formula could be combined with the Herbal Sentinel (Yang or Yin).
When to take
Take after meals.
